Foundations

Foundation are steel reinforced concrete. These plinths are required to be 1220mm from centre to centre, the length depend on the length of the tank plus a 100mm on both sides. The minimum required hight is 450mm for installers to reach the bolts and nuts on the base of the tank.

Vortex Inhibitor

Common connection elevation mistakes are made due to the flanges of a panel causing some possible pipe work problems. As seen in drawing the the base of the tank is 90mm higher than the plinths. This will then place the connection at 434mm as to the original required 384mm. If 384mm was the required hight from the plinths the vortex would not be able to fit.
